Accessibility Statement for The Singlecote Hotel Skegness 

 

The Singlecote Hotel is a family run Bed and Breakfast, pet friendly, hotel, close to amenities with Skegness. Staff are available throughout the day. Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel.

 

Entrance to the hotel

On arrival there is one step 4 inches high leading up to the main door. Entry is via the front door with a key, the door is self-locking. There is further step 3 inches high leading into the premises. Unfortunately, there are currently no ramps available.

The contact phone number is 01754 481508 this is also displayed on the sign at the front of the hotel.

The doorbell is on the right-hand side of the entrance door. This will attract the attention of staff should you need any help accessing the building.

There are lights on either side of the front door which light up the steps. Once through the front door there is a second door which will be opened by a staff member once you have rung the doorbell. 

 

Inside

Inside the hotel the hallway, stairs, dining room and bedrooms are all carpeted.  There is no lift, and stairs are wide and easily navigated, as are the corridors. Access to rooms is by electronic key.

The hotel is on three levels and guests have access to all the levels. The bedrooms are situated on the first and second floor. 

Access from the main entrance to:

The reception area and bedrooms. The dining room is located on the ground floor to the right of reception. There is an outdoor seating area located adjacent to the hotel entrance. Smoking is not allowed anywhere indoors. 

 

Bedrooms

All bedrooms have windows and fitted carpets. There are bedside lamps, desk or table lamps and natural daylight. Lights are LEDs and they are energy saving. All bedrooms are non-smoking.

All bedrooms have Mini fridge, fan, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and alarm clock and USB ports and complimentary toiletries. Cot beds are available on request.

 

Facilities

For those guests that are hard of hearing all the Flat Screen TVs can display subtitles.

 

Emergency Procedures

If the fire alarm is activated anyone with hearing difficulties will be told face-to-face.

There are emergency evacuation procedures prominently displayed in each bedroom.

There are Smoke detectors fitted throughout the hotel and in all the rooms. Fire extinguishers are available throughout.

All guests are to evacuate and congregate at the metal fence at the front of the property near the road in the event of a fire.

 

Parking

Unfortunately, there is only limited parking onsite. However, disabled parking is available on the street and there is a public car park nearby.

 

Accessing your room.

We do not have restricted opening hours. Guests are issued with a main door key and with their room key.

All we ask is that guests show consideration for others during their stay with us, both in the communal areas and within their own room. 

 

Dining room

The dining room is fully carpeted and situated on the ground floor.

Children's High chairs are available on request.

 

Customer care support

There is an area to charge mobility scooters and battery powered wheelchairs.

Please notify us if you are assisted by a dog so that we can arrangements can be made for you. Service animals are exempt from fees.

Those with hearing difficulties are requested to inform staff on arrival and they will be alerted face-to-face in case of emergencies.

Any medications can be stored in your own mini fridge in your room.

Room safe deposit box. (£10.00 deposit for the Key – refundable on return).

Cots, Highchairs and Push Chairs are available on request

Windbreakers, Umbrellas, board games, puzzles and books from a loan library are all available to loan.
